I guess I should do a fact file for this one...
Time: Four painstaking hours!
Happy: YES!
Layers: Two, yes two. I haven't mastered the whole layer thing... Anyone wanna help? It's really messing with my head.
Extra: Ok, this was my first attempt to use GIMP. Why did I torture myself for four hours with it? I can't cut out tails on my dinky photo editing program and needed the brushes. Plus, in the horse's original photo, he's in dust. So guess what I had to add? Yea, dust. *headdesk* The brushes were the easy part, sorta. I figured out how to get them into GIMP, but then I didn't see them in my brushes section. Why? I didn't refresh it *headdesk* I downloaded SO MANY BRUSHES, because I thought the files didn't work. Then I had to go back and actually figure out which ones I used (don't worry, credit is given where it is due, trust me, I checked a couple dozen times). Then I had to get the mane perfect. I tried so many brushes! Guess what? That's actually a tail slapped on there a few times. Oh yea, I went there. The tail is a series of three or four tails from the two sources up there. I didn't want it to look too perfect so I tried to make it look real. That took some time and undoing and redoing. *headdesk* Then the butt. Yes, the horse's butt. How the tails were made, the head of the tails were right there on his thigh. Uh huh, not happening for me. So I had to cut out his butt. This is where the one and ONLY layer is. I had to save what I had then open a new page, just to cut out his butt. Then copy and paste it on. This had to be last because I don't know how to click onto another layer! I tried and tried, but no luck! It seems that when you paste it, that's it. You have to stay clicked on that butt until you exit.

Text was added using my program as I sure as anything wasn't going to try to figure out GIMP. The tailless horse was also cut out on my program and put on the background. I saved it then switched to GIMP to do the dust and tail.
